Limpopo Matric Results 2016 – 2020
Limpopo is one of the provinces in South Africa that struggles with education. Due to the amount of disadvantaged schools in the province, there is a concern around how the corona virus will impact the results of the students.

Here are the pass rates for Limpopo from 2016 – 2019
2016
In 2016, Limpopo experienced a drastic decline in the matric pass rate. The 2016 matric pass rate for 2016 was 65.2%, dropping from 71.1% in 2017.
2017
Even though Limpopo’s pass rate was still below the average national pass rate, the Limpopo province achieved an increase of 3.1%. This landed the Limpopo province at a pass rate of 65.6%.
2018
Limpopo achieved the lowest pass rate in 2018 at 70.6%. Even though Limpopo had improved from previous years, the province was still performing poorly in comparison to other provinces. This was mainly due to the poor quality of schools in the province.
2019
Once again, the Limpopo province had achieved the lowest pass rate in the country. However, Limpopo had an incline in their pass rate, landing them at 73.2%.
2020
Here is what educational specialist Jan Badenhorst has to say about Limpopo’s performance for this year, “Limpopo has always struggled with their Matric results. I expect Covid-10 to have a severe impact on their numbers this year. I think they can see a drop down to 65%.
